Starting from a desire to form a concept and a different genre of music in the Balinese scene, the name Baobab Wizard was formed. The name Baobab is taken from the name of a tree that is so unique in Africa with a very large size, while Wizard if interpreted in Indonesian means witch. So the meaning of the name Baobab Wizard is that humans control most of the good and bad lives of life, mostly caused by humans.
After the launch of the first Lost Wisdom Era released on an indie system, the second Lost Wisdom Era preparation released by Dense (s) Record and Svmber Rejeki was soon launched. About half a month of working on the material, which was quite draining and mindful, finally the second Lost Wisdom Era was ready to be released on cassette. This second Lost Wisdom Era contains seven songs in it with the addition of three materials that continue the first Lost Wisdom Era, namely Lost Wisdom Era, Honor for Triloka and Agni Forest. In the material entitled Honor for Triloka, she collaborated with Karina as the female vocalist.
Consuming music from Gallhammer makes Baobab Wizard music more developed and is able to add other types of music such as doom metal, sludge metal, ambient, ethnic and others to become the characters of Baobab Wizard music. Pouring a protest action against the surrounding situation, especially the problem of human error and the environment, the lyrics poured out by the vocalist became the theme. Therefore, Lost Wisdom Era has made an E.P album name which is packaged very nicely and full of struggles towards the conditions around us by understanding the contents of the lyrics made.
Hopefully indie musicians dare to raise a theme that criticizes how the situation around us, the condition of our country and all corners of the world. By working, we can indirectly educate listeners and people who are able to fight for what we have to fight for! And always support Indonesian music by buying physical releases or buying merchandise without downloading their work for free, because creating is very difficult. Downloading by paying has an impact on the musician or the band itself. Support Indonesian music!
