What happens when Metal, Hardcore and Emo kids make a Pop Punk band?
Carrying the 2007-2010s pop punk era that was carried by Kuro! and Speak Up, but with the pop side of Rocket Rockers, they amplify all those elements with the aggressive and fun side of Alone at Last and Sum 41.
Because they are formed from various musical backgrounds, they don’t care about the “genre barrier”, ARGENTA! hit their listeners with guitar shredding, vocal screams and breakdowns in their songs. Giving a new yet nostalgic feel, especially during the “Depok Fresh Market” era.
The band, formed on June 2, 2011, was originally in the ‘Melodic Punk’ genre and was briefly bridged by the ‘mainstream’ path. But they chose to leave slowly because they felt a ‘lack of freedom’. “This band was formed to express our emotions and feelings. Stories about the bitterness of life, life struggles to voice of resistance, so don’t expect us to be ‘organized’ by mainstream media”.
ARGENTA! itself means dual-influence and silver lining. “Dual-influence” because of the different backgrounds of each personnel and the infusion of genres they carry, “silver lining” which means the positive side of a bad situation.
“Old flavoured Pop Punk, with a new spirit. Like a 90’s car with good care so the engine doesn’t break down. It is also fresh and has a high nostalgic value. Definitely have a market for it, right?” – Paling Berisik.
